Happy Skin Matte About You Pore & Shine Control Primer

Summer in the Philppines can be torture for anyone who has an oily skin. It’s an annual battle I deal with as far as I can remember. Primers help a whole lot but whenever I see silicones as one of the active ingredients, I think twice before using it or most of time I just back off because I am sensitive to them. It’s the reason why I don’t use oil-controlling primers or any kind of mattifying product because I know that silicones play a huge role. So I took my time in using the newest primer from Happy Skin. My Best Products of 2015

Best of 2015

My top 10 for 2015!

I didn’t manage to try a lot of products last year but I did get to experience a few amazing items so here now are the best products I have in my stash.

1. Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop. This has been a serious game-changer for me the past year. Trust Jaclyn Hill to convert me into a highlighter addict. I’ve pretty much stayed away from them when I was beginning to get into makeup. For so long, I’ve believed that my oily skin would only look worse when I wear anything shimmery or frosty. I watched one of her videos before with this product where she demonstrated on the points of her face where she usually puts her highlighter on. I tried it myself and BAM! I was highlighter-hooked. It felt like a revelation. You can read my review here.

2. Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara. I finally found a mascara that can give my all-too-short-and-straight lashes the volume and length they desperately need. Anyone who has the same problems as I have should give this a go. Review here. Continue reading

Canmake Lasting Multi Eyebase WP | Review

Canmake Lasting Multi Eyebase WP

Confession time. I had never really invested in an eyeshadow primer (Gasp!) because most of the eyeshadows I’ve been using are quite long-wearing. Viseart, Lorac, Urban Decay, just to name a few.

Whuttt?! A beauty blogger who doesn’t routinely use a primer?! Yeah, that happens.

But when Canmake was finally available over at the Power Plant Mall in Rockwell, Makati, one of the things I bought to try out was their eyebase. Today’s review will be all about that. Continue reading

July to September Product Round Up

A third of the year is already done and here I am bringing you the products that got major usage from me for the past three months.

Let’s begin shall we?

Tarte Rainforest After Dark Colored Clay Eye & Cheek Palette. Yeah, what a mouthful. But the contents of this palette more than make up for it, trust me. It’s Β perfect for those who are always traveling since you’ve got a blush, bronzer, highlighter and eyeshadows all in one big compact. Continue reading

Just In: Chanel, Guerlain, Tom Ford, Becca Cosmetics, Canmake and more

Tom Ford, Chanel, YSL, Guerlain haul

Hope you’re all having a pleasant weekend everyone!

Today’s post is just a showcase of what I recently got. I haven’t hauled so much in a long time being busy with my medical residency training and all that. Sometimes though I’d need a thing or two to look forward to, hence retail therapy of the makeup variety. Continue reading
