Keep Cool and Soothe Bamboo Serum | Review

If you’ve been following my blog for some time now, you’d be aware of how much I love the Keep Cool and Soothe Bamboo Toner that it’s now one of my holy grail skincare items. You can’t imagine the excitement and giddiness I felt when Keep Cool reached out and ask me to review their Soothe Bamboo Serum as it was being released in the market. I’ve had a lot of time to test this out so let me get on the review.

SOOTHING BAMBOO IN A SERUM

Does your skin need a protector? Containing 66% of Bamboo Water and low molecular Hyaluronic Acid Component, KEEP COOL Soothe Bamboo Serum works effectively as a ‘repair serum.’ This slight green colored serum directly shows the true color of Centella Asiatica for non-stimulation recovery. Refreshing watery viscosity texture gets smoothly on skin without leaving any stickiness. EWG green level formula and none caution ingredients are safely compounded to reduce any possible harm.

The Soothe Bamboo Serum comes in a pump plastic bottle containing 50 ml of product. Before I go further into the details of the serum, let me say that never have I had any skincare that came with a generous dispensing pump like this. When I say generous, I mean that I only need one pump of the serum to cover my face and neck. In other skincare with pumps, I would usually get at least 3 pumps from a product.

This contains 66% pure bamboo water, which is from bamboo extracts and has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-aging effects. Notable ingredients also include 4.5% centella asiatica, one of its active ingredients, madecassoside, and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid.

Just like their toner, their serum also has a clear and unscented liquid. It has a slightly thick consistency but I find it so perfect for my dehydrated skin in this dreaded Philippine hot weather. Speaking of which, our weather here has been weird lately, or at least in the city where I am currently staying. Most of the time it’s been cloudy with frequent rain showers but it’s so crazy hot and humid that the heat index everyday goes up to 45°C/113°F. Anyway, as I said, this works wonderfully for my skin type. It absorbs into the skin quickly without leaving any sticky or greasy sensation behind. My skin feels and looks hydrated and it doesn’t make me oily throughout the day. Just take a look at my skin below.

I will definitely consider this as one of the best serums for an oily, dehydrated skin and I believe this is suitable for every skin type, even sensitive ones. It deserves to be given TWO THUMBS UP and be called one of my skincare HOLY GRAILS. I can see myself purchasing this over and over. That said, I hope I can try out the rest of Keep Cool’s Soothe products because I am dying to know if everyone of them will be just as good as their toner and serum.

Their products are available in Style Korean, Beautytap, or in my Charis Store if you want.
