One of the things I’m enjoying this summer is refrigerated sheet masks. I just love putting a cold mask on the face before I go to bed. The relaxing and calming effect is just instantaneous. Bonus points too for the hydration it’ll give my dehydrated skin. Just last week, I got to discover a new sheet mask from Charis Celeb and it’s what I’m talking about today.
BLOOMING MOISTURE MASKS
There are five pieces of Blooming Cell Dual Effect Mask in one box. There are 3 variants of the mask: Green for brightening, Red to improve elasticity and, the kind I have, Blue, which is for moisturizing. I can’t speak for the other kinds but the blue variant is soaked in a milky white essence and only has a faint smell. I can’t exactly point out what it smells like but it resembles something chemical-like.
Some of the ingredients of this mask are portulaca extract, honey extract, aloe vera, glasswort extract and camellia extract, all of which are beneficial to dry and dehydrated skin. It also has ceramides to strengthen the skin barrier.
The mask is made purely from cotton making it quite thick. It’s probably the thickest I’ve had so far but the fit of it was okay. I believe they made it that way so that more of the essence can be applied and it will adhere better on the face. It doesn’t slip down or cause any discomfort. The best thing about the product though is its essence which has a watery and slippery feel to it despite looking like it’s thicker than water. Leave the mask on for 15 to 20 minutes before taking it off. The essence gets immediately absorbed and within the first minute of patting it in, the sticky feeling gives way to a tolerable tackiness with the skin instantly feeling so plump, soft and hydrated.
Now, I always apply the remaining essence in any sheet mask everywhere else on my body especially on my dry legs especially if the formula promises to moisturize. FYI, my legs are driest areas of my body. They’re itchy and scaly most of the time and the essence just hydrates it the same way that a thick cream would.
This mask is available on my Charis Store now if you want to give this or the others a try. I do recommend this for dry and dehydrated skin types. And if you have an oily skin, you can still enjoy this in your skincare routine because the essence absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a sticky feeling.
