What do you do when you get a box full of makeup? For a makeup lover such as myself, the answer is very simple — I will play with them. And if I use them all on one look, that would be some kind of challenge right? Okay, let’s do this!
AN ALTHEA TUTORIAL
After priming my skin and eyelids, I started doing my eye makeup with the BCL x Althea Sunrise & Moonrise Eye Palette. First I used the matte light brown on my crease with a fluffy blending brush. Next, I mixed the 3rd and 6th shades, the rose gold and reddish wine, respectively, and packed it on the lids with a damp brush. Next, I took a crease brush and applied the darker brown, the 5th shade or the one on the lower left, on the outer corner. Then, with a domed pencil eye brush, I stamped the purple eyeshadow on the outer third of the lids. I then, took the metallic gold and placed it in the center of the lids. Lastly, with a clean blending brush, I blended out the harsher edges for a cleaner look.
I wanted more shimmer in my eye look so I used the Spotlight Eye Glitter in Pink Light as a lid topper on the center of my lids using my ring finger. The other eye glitter, Gold Light, I applied on the inner corner of my eyes and on the inner third of the lower lids with a pencil brush.
For my face, in place of a foundation, I used the Flawless Creamy Concealer in Ginger. I then used the Petal Velvet Powders to set everything. The shade Warm Beige set almost everything in place except on my undereye, where I set it with the Pink Lavender Petal Velvet Powder to brighten the area up.
Going back to the eye palette, I used the light matte brown shade as my bronzer to warm up my face somehow. For blush, I took the Watercolor Cream Tint in #2 Strawberry Cream, dotted a few on the cheeks and blended them with a stippling blush. To highlight the tops of my cheekbones, bridge of the nose and forehead, I combined the light gold and pale pink shimmery eyeshadows.
On the lips I applied the Watercolor Cream Tint #3 Peach Cream all over then the #1 Plum Cream on the inner side of the lips. I was actually aiming for an ombre look but the two shades blended together. The combination does look nice though.
Add some brows, eyeliner and mascara, et voila! a whole look with the new Althea makeup!
What do you guys think? This is my first time doing something like this so please be gentle with the comments.
