Althea Milk Peel Cream Mask | Review

Althea Milk Peel Cream Mask

I am continuously blown away by the products Althea has been releasing lately. It all started with their wash off masks — now a complete favorite of mine, followed by the sunscreen — although I find its scent too strong for me, and now their most recent, the Milk Peel Cream Mask. The fact that it has milk in its name really excited me.

Give your skin a big gulp of hydration with the refreshing peeling powers of Althea’s Milk Peel Cream Mask! Containing both AHA and BHA extracts, this gentle but effective exfoliator transforms from a clay to a whipped cream lather, whisking away dead skin cells to prevent flakiness. It’s also formulated with casein protein from milk to revitalize and moisturize the skin. The result is radiantly smooth, healthy skin that’s bouncy to the touch!

The Milk Peel Cream Mask comes in an airless (I think) pump plastic bottle with 50 ml of creamy white clay mask. This clay texture transform into a lighter, mousse-like, whipped cream once it is lathered up. It smells really good for me too, like a sweet powdery type of scent.

I am immensely enjoying this cream mask. It’s a very unique experience, for me at least, because I have never had any kind of bubbly mask before. This is so fun to use but at the same time, it’s a very effective mask. This is used over damp skin. I get a few pumps of this, massage it on the palms of my hands and apply it to my face in an even layer. It immediately starts to have that bubbly appearance accompanied with a fizzy feeling on the skin. After counting 30 to 60 seconds, I wash it off with warm water. My face just feels so smooth after. There was a bit of a squeaky feeling to the skin but it never felt drying or tight with every use.

All in all, this is a really good mild exfoliant for any skin type.  I never felt any stinging or tingling every time I use it and I think this can be even used by those with sensitive skins. This is only Php 490 from Althea if you’re thinking of getting it.

What do you guys think? Will you try this? Are there other mask out there like this? The kind that starts as clay and bubbles up? Let me know down below!
