Yes, I also bought the Pillow Talk blusher together with the Luxury Palette, I can’t help myself. I’ve only allowed myself to buy few makeup items this year considering my low-buy plan. I’ve foregone more items from my original list than I thought I would (e.g MAC, Colourpop) because nothing interested me. Well, not until the new Pillow Talk from Charlotte Tilbury.
CHEEKY PILLOW TALK
Cheek to Chic in Pillow Talk is a two-tone powder blusher in a dusky pink and champagne shimmer shade that will add a kiss of colour to your cheeks. With luminous gold flecks in each shade, this blush will add an instant healthy sheen to your complexion for a gorgeous glow! Complete your iconic Pillow Talk love story look with this blush, perfectly paired with the new luxury palette, award-winning lip liner and matte lipstick.
The Pillow Talk Cheek to Chic is described as a two-tone pink and champagne powder blush. In a typical Charlotte Tilbury burgundy and rose gold compact, it has a net weight of 0.8 g/ 0.28 oz. The shimmery champagne shade is not too glittery, rather complimenting the blush shade as it immediately shows up as a healthy warm rose with a subtle glow on the skin.
I thought this would be too sheer for my tastes when I first swatched it on my hand but as it turns out, it has the exact amount of pigment to create a soft warm pink on my cheeks. Going in with a second layer is too much for me, making me look like a bit of a clown. Its softness is likable to a barely there look and I personally think this kind of shade is flattering enough to be worn by everyone. The powder is soft, buttery and finely-milled to touch but it doesn’t have a lot of product kick off which is a total blessing.
Most days when I use this, I never need to add a highlighter because the glow it gives is too pretty on its own. Between the Pillow Talk palette and this blush, this has got to be my favorite. If I were asked to choose and get only one, it would be this.
Again, this is a limited edition item so I hope this becomes permanent too. It retailed for $40 and is currently out of stock here. What do you guys think?
