There was no way I was going to miss out on the new Pillow Talk makeup Charlotte Tilbury released recently. Their iconic shade now comes in an eyeshadow palette and a blush. I don’t have the lipstick or the lip liner but I do plan on getting both someday. Anyway, the first time I saw the swatches for the palette, I just knew I had to get it asap.
PILLOW TALK FOR THE EYES
The Luxury Palette in Pillow Talk is a pretty, feminine every day eyeshadow palette with four shimmer and matte shades. Featuring champagne pink, matte dusky rose, soft matte brown and rose gold sparkle shades, this easy to use eyeshadow quad will give you romantic, wide-eyed, ‘I woke up like this’ eye makeup. Complete your iconic Pillow Talk love story look with this eyeshadow palette, perfectly paired with the new blusher, award-winning lip liner and matte lipstick.
The Pillow Talk Luxury Palette is described as an eyeshadow palette with golden pink shades. There are 2 matte and 2 shimmery shades, one looks more glittery than the other. The 4 shades are a mix of, “champagne pink, matte dusky rose, soft matte brown and rose gold sparkle.” The palette has a light plastic-like quality to it but the combination of burgundy and rose gold colors gives it an elegant tone.
I love how all the shades work so well together but if I’m being honest, these are not the most pigmented eyeshadows in my opinion. They’re not the least pigmented either because the pigment is definitely there. The textures of the eyeshadows are just so buttery, soft and smooth. They take little time to build up — quite easy to do it too — and if you want to make them stay on almost the entire day, you’ll need a primer or at least a concealer underneath as base. They’re easy to blend and there’s hardly any fallout. In a way, they’re kind of like Korean eyeshadows, or at least from my experience — the kind that gives you a natural, soft, and romantic look. They seem to crease and fade a little on me by the 8th hour of wear but other than that, I like how it wore throughout the day.
All in all, this palette is a good choice for everyday wear because I find the shades easy to wear and apply. I can see myself using this palette very often which worries me because this is a limited edition item. I do hope they will reconsider making it permanent because I don’t want to hit pan on any of the shades. I think it’s still sold out online as of this writing. Also, it carries a hefty price tag of $53 so I’m not sure everyone will this is a worthy buy.
How do you find this palette guys? Any thoughts?
