There are some beauty brands out there that have finally given the beauty community sneak peeks of their holiday releases and I have to say, I’m not all that impressed with most of them. Today, I can easily say I have become more practical with choosing what I will spend my money on. Let’s get into them.
First I’ll start off with Charlotte Tilbury. The Pillow Talk Matte Revolution Lipstick and Lip Cheat have long been on my wishlist. This year, they’ve produced an eyeshadow palette and Cheek to Chic blush to compliment their famous lip color. I knew I wanted it as soon as I realized it’s a limited edition. I do hope they make them permanent because I have a feeling these will be a huge hit. Another CT palette on my radar is the Stars In Your Eyes Palette, a 12-pan eyeshadow palette. I’ve been wishing for makeup companies to come up with something that has purples, cranberries and rose-toned shades. I’m glad Charlotte is one of those who made it happen.
I don’t have anything from Too Faced right now but I did own a few items from them way before this blog came to life. The Gingerbread Spice Palette is the first Too Faced Palette that has gotten my attention in a long time. The pops of color certainly made this more interesting than their previous eyeshadow palette releases.
Every year, I purchase the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette during holidays. This year is no exception. The brand however, will have two palettes to release but I am only planning to get the Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked, which has 6 new shades exclusive to the palette.
I view Pat Mcgrath’s palettes as something of a luxury I will only allow myself to consider when they go on sale. That said, I hope they’ll have one during Black Friday so I can nab their newest Mothership V Eyeshadow Palette Bronze Seduction.
Next are two chemical exfoliators in serum forms, Herbivore’s Prism Exfoliating Glow Potion and Farmacy’s Honeymoon Glow. The raves about these are what made me add them to my wishlist. I’m waiting for Sephora Philippines to have a sale and hopefully by that time, the one from Farmacy will then be available.
The first time I saw the Unicorn Fruit Body Butter from Truly Organic, it was immediately love at first sight. Who wouldn’t fall in love in it when 4 of its major ingredients are matcha, acai, rose and chia. That, and it looks good enough to eat and a lot like candy.
On my Instagram feed, I’ve been seeing Wow You! frequently. They’re a new brand from UK with cruelty-free skincare and I’m hearing a lot of positive feedback about their products. Their pink packaging may have something to do with my initial interest. Take a peek at what they have to offer and I’m sure you’ll be interested as well.
I’m always looking for a new sunscreen and one that made me do a double take is the Supergoop Smooth and Poreless 100% Mineral Matte Screen. It’s a mineral primer with SPF 40 and promises to blur pores and mattify skin. I really want to get my hands on it.
