Ever since I picked up this highlighter from Maybelline, I haven’t been able to put it down. Anyway, I’m sure all of you are very familiar with this one already. Everyone has been practically raving about it. I for one, am glad that we have this here in the Philppines. I thought it would take years before that would happen. I mean, look at the Fit Me line. But back to their highlighter, let me praise it more for you.
METALLIC MOLTEN GLOW
WHAT IT IS
Facestudio® Master Chrome™ Metallic Highlighter Makeup effortlessly envelopes the skin in a molten metal sheen.
Meet the secret to brilliant and luminous skin. This highlighter powder drenches skin in a melted metallic finish. Maybelline’s pearl pigments leave a reflective finish for a brilliant glowing skin.
HOW TO USE/APPLY:
Step 1. Apply with brush or fingertips.
Step 2. Sweep onto targeted areas, such as cheekbones, brow bones, and down the bridge of the nose.
Step 3. Blend for a seamless metallic glow.
The Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter comes in a round plastic compact with a clear cover having a net weight of 0.24 oz. In the US, there are 4 shades available but here in the Philippines, we only have two, Molten Gold and Molten Rose Gold. I have the latter which is a lightly warm-toned peach with a ton of shimmers in it looking very metallic at a glance.
What I love most about this is it’s texture. This highlighter has one of the softest and creamiest powders I have ever swatched. It is so easy to apply and blend on the skin either with a brush or a damp sponge. It is richly pigmented, you’d doubt whether you’re wearing something from a drugstore brand. A lighter hand is ideal for a subtle highlight but if you’re like me with a highlighter motto of, “More is more.” you’d built it up to a few layers. The glow stays on me from the time I put it on with only some slight fading, to the time I cleanse my face at night.
Maybelline continues to blow my mind away with their products that I am giving this my TWO THUMBS UP. At first, I wanted to get Molten Gold as well but I remember Tati from Glam Life Guru giving that one away and keeping Molten Rose Gold instead — it’s one of her favorites, if not her absolute drugstore highlighter favorite. Also, I thought to myself, “What do I need another gold highlighter anyway, when I already have a lot?” But now that I know just how beautiful and creamy the formula is, I’m obsessed. And I can’t wait for Molten Peach and Topaz to get here too. What do you guys think, should I get Molten Gold? By the way, a single compact retails for Php 499 here.
Who else is loving Maybelline’s highlighers? A show of hands please. What’s your favorite shade?
