Before this product I’m reviewing today, I was on the hunt for an item with centella asiatica as its main ingredient. I’ve read a lot of feature articles stating how beneficial it is and how visually effective it is on sensitive skin. And once I was sent this centella serum by Purito, I couldn’t wait to review it.
PURITO GOES GREEN
The Centella Green Level Buffet Serum comes in a dark green plastic pump bottle containing 60 ml of product. The serum is colorless but has a strong herbal scent to it that I’ve come to associate with most Korean skincare. One whole pump of the serum is enough for me to distribute it on my face and neck .
It has a watery-gel consistency that gives an immediate hydrated look and feeling to the skin. It does leave a slightly tacky finish on initial application but that tackiness disappears eventually. I wait for at least a minute before I move on to the next step of my skincare, which is my moisturizer. By that time, my skin has a dewy look but feels satin-y instead.
What blows my mind away is how it calms down my irritated skin in less than a day. See, as a dermatologist, I do acne surgery on my self and usually it takes about 2-3 days at a minimum for any redness and irritation to disappear. In those days, my face will experience flaking and some level of sensitivity. But when I apply the serum, I don’t get the redness, the flaking or the irritation. Because of this, I am seriously considering using this serum in my clinical practice.
Here is a list of its ingredients:
As you can see, aside from the 49% centella, it also contains hydrating ingredients like ceramide, sodium hyaluronate and collagen, peptides and niacinamide to brighten up the skin.
All in all, I am in love with this serum! Yes, TWO THUMBS UP from me. I will continue to purchase this for as long as it is being produced by Purito. I also highly recommend this to anyone who has sensitive and irritated skin. Centella will be your skin-saver guys.
Have you tried anything with centella asiatica in it? Or maybe this same serum from Purito? How did it go? Tell me in the comments down below.
