Today’s post won’t be a product review. The reason is I’m trying to cram as much as I can for my review and starting today until I finish my exam, I’ll be posting less frequently. I’ll probably won’t write much reviews too because products generally require more thought and close observation from me which I really can’t afford right now. Instead, I might post something short every now and then just so you guys know I’m still kicking it, LOL.
Anyway, today I want to share my base routine this summer.
So right now, I noticed I kept using the same base products every time there’s a special occasion — attending a party, wedding or events. These products keep me practically flawless and shine-free for most of the day, requiring little touch up. Even my mom has commented on how nothing has slid off during a very humid afternoon last weekend I attended a wedding.
First off, I start with applying the Happy Skin Matte About You Primer but only where I really need it like my nose, forehead, chin and areas of my cheeks that gets oily. Next, using a Beauty Blender, I apply the Revlon Colorstay Foundation, sometimes adding another thin layer on areas that need more coverage. For my concealer, I prefer to use the Happy Skin Bye Bye Blues Concealer to hide discoloration under my eyes and highlight my forehead and bridge of the nose. To set those, I either pat the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Powder or the Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder using the same sponge I used and dusting off any excess after. I don’t usually bake my undereye areas but If I have a feeling that I need more support, I won’t hesitate to. As a final touch, after putting the rest of my makeup on, I’ll spray some L’Oreal Infallible Makeup Extender and Setting Spray.
There, all done. What do you guys think? What are your tried and tested base routines? I want to know especially those with oily skin types.
