Colourette Face Gloss in Northern Beam & Purple Haze | Review

Colourette Face Gloss2

I have a thing for highlighters. You guys all know that right? (I mean, I just posted a highlighter palette before this not too long ago.) From drugstore to high-end brands, when it comes to putting on some glow on the face, I’ll be game for anything. But it has come to my attention that I don’t have much coming from a local brand. Well I made sure to rectify that with some from Colourette.

The best thing to happen to summer is finally here—FaceGloss. This ultra-fine pressed highlighter is packed with jaw-dropping pigment that’ll surely make everything lit!

Colourette Face Gloss

Face Gloss comes in a round, plastic, pastel pink compact with a net weight of 7 g each. Three shades are available and I only ordered 2, Northern Beam, which in my opinion is an icy beige and Purple Haze, a soft lilac. Both have a frosted sheen that lovely reflects against the light.

The formula of these powders are quite soft and creamy. There’s some minimal product kick-off against a brush but that may be due to the softness of the powder. They are definitely pigmented with just one swatch of a finger. They can be applied lightly or — if in case you want more oomph! — be built up to a more intense glow. On average, these last about 6 to 7 hours on me before they completely fade away.

If I were to pick a favorite, initially, it would be Northern Beam because it’s one of those shades I can use daily but, I have such a soft spot for lilac highlighters that they immediately catch my attention. In fact when I first saw the swatches for these, without a doubt I knew I’d get Purple Haze. So yes, my pick would be Purple Haze. All day, everyday, I’d be happy to drown in its lilac tones.

Honestly though there are only a couple of beautiful lilac highlighters out there in the market, locally and internationally speaking, and I’m so ecstatic that Colourette nailed the formula and the color of theirs. Anyway, for local highlighters, these totally get my approval, TWO THUMBS UP baby! Now I want the only shade I don’t have, which is Dream Quartz.

Each compact retails for Php 799 but for now they being offered on an introductory price off Php 699 until the end of April. Order them here if you want.
