Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter | Review

Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter

I knew the moment Anastasia Beverly Hills announced they were collaborating with Amrezy for a limited edition highlighter that I was going to get it. No matter what happens, I promised myself that I will have it. Well, I’ve been playing with it the past few days and here are my thoughts about it.

AMREZY KNOWS HOW TO GLOW

The limited edition Amrezy Highlighter is an illuminating powder that achieves the perfect glow. With the feel of second-skin, this ultra-smooth formula delivers a radiant finish and reflects a light, brilliant gold.

“I live for the perfect glow-it’s a constant focus in my makeup routine. I’m always looking for the most luminous glow with a natural, second skin finish. This collaboration with ABH brings my highlighter dreams to life, and I’m so happy to share this “sun in a compact” with my Rezy riders.”

The Amrezy Highlighter is described as a light brilliant gold. And it is such a perfect light gold that can be worn by anyone. I’ve seen it on different skin tones — fair, light, medium, dark — and undertones on Instagram and I think it looks absolutely smashing on everyone. It has a wavy/ rippled pattern across the pan that I can’t bear myself to ruin. So whenever I pick up the product with my brushes, I only swipe them on the areas between the 2 waves, LOL.

The powder is so smooth and super fine, and the texture doesn’t feel chunky, or glittery at all. It has a different formula when compared to the ABH Glowkits. Those have a more metallic and intense glow and this highlighter has a softer look to it. I am actually quite envious of how Amrezy made it look so intense in her photo below. It doesn’t show up on me like that but what I like about it is I can wear it lightly for a soft luminous effect or build it up for a more wet look. It blends like a dream and lasts amazingly well throughout the day too. It will fade slightly after 7 hours but it was still noticeable near the 10th hour mark.

And lastly, all the time I was beauty blogging, I can’t ever remember encountering a highlighter that has never had any fallout. I understand why it happens though. But this highlighter doesn’t have any, at least in my opinion. It’s an accomplishment that Anastasia Beverly Hills and Amrezy should be proud of and I believe a beauty feat like this will be remembered forever in makeup history.

In my opinion, this is one of those limited edition products that should be made permanent, or at least be made available for a long time until the fans can get backups. Yes, I am entertaining the idea of getting a backup, which is rare for me. The only other item I have bought a backup of is the Essence Pure Nude Highlighter. Well, that only means this product gets my approval, a TWO THUMBS UP!

It retails for $28 on the Anastasia Beverly Hills website but currently, there’s a VIP sale over at Macy’s that’ll give a 15% off discount.

Isn’t the Amrezy Highlighter such a beautiful creation? Do you have it too readers of mine? What do you think?
