I’ve never found a lip and cheek tint that agreed with me. The ones I’ve tried are all drying on the lips and have a short wear time. So I gave up on them very early on my time as a beauty blogger. I didn’t really explore different brands because I thought they were similar with each other but then I found these ColourTints from Colourette being raved so I had to try them out for myself.
The first of its kind in the local scene, these boldly pigmented tints come in a comfortable hydrating formula with spf 15 that keeps lips and cheeks moisturized and protected while giving a natural blush. Infused with Argan oil – a super-moisturizer that nourishes the lips almost instantly and promotes healing of dry and cracked lips. It also provides superior protection from environmental assault.
• Blends smoothly and evenly on skin and lips
• No more uneven tinted areas
• Boldly pigmented
• Hyper staying power
• Oil when applied then dries up as a stain
These ColourTint Intense Blend Lip and Cheek Oil have 9 different shades available. They come in these little clear glass bottles containing 12g of products. These are oil-based tints so if they’re left for a period of time, the oil and the tint separates. They need to be shaken up before use — it’s written across the bottles. The shades I have are Dionne, which is a coral, and Naomi, a warm pink.
The applicator is a flimsy thin brush. It’s neither impressive nor out of this world. It does what it does.
The tints feel comfortable and almost lightweight on the lips. Granted they don’t really feel hydrating, for me at least, but I think the most important fact is they don’t dry my lips out. And the pigmentation packs so much punch with a single drop. On my swatches below, you’ll see how they appear unblended and blended. The blended ones are only a drop each. I am literally blown away by these details that I have never experienced before in any lip and cheek tint. On the lips they stay for about 5 to 6 hours before they fade leaving a nice and soft stain that stays just as long. On the cheeks, they last longer. I was able to wear them for at least 10 hours straight without reapplication before they totally fade.
By the way, these are the ingredients.
They’re better applied on top of cream or liquids because they blend better and easier with those mediums. On top of powders, it becomes a little tough. What I do is I apply them after I’ve put on my liquid foundation or BB cream. Then I go to setting everything up with a powder. Yes, that includes the tint. If I wanted it to wear longer, I dust a powder blush in a similar color shade lightly over it instead.
I fell in love with these the first time I used them so I am giving these my TWO THUMBS UP! I want more right now but the shades I want are out of stock. Actually I want to collect them all one day.
