Hi guys! I’ve got another highlighter for you all today. When Filipinos make it big in the international beauty community, I always pay extra close attention to them and I support them in any way I can by subscribing to their YouTube channels, following them on IG, and more often than possible, patronizing their products, etc. When Heart Defensor created a new highlighter duo with E.L.F., I sure as hell going to go get it!
COFFEE AND CREAM WITH A HEART
Create a soft, luminescent glow with this exclusive Heart Defensor highlighting powder duo with @thatsheart. Use the complementary highlighter shades coffee and cream to customize your look and go from subtle glow to seriously sun-kissed bronze.
“My amazing subscribers were my inpsiration for this highlighter duo! I chose colors that blend with any skin tone, and can be worn in the day or at night. These shades also look amazing mixed together — they’re a perfect match!” – Heart Defensor
The Coffee and Cream Highlighter Palette comes in a rose gold compact containing two shades of highlighter which I presume are Coffee, a medium gold, and Cream, a champagne-white. There’s no sticker label on the back of the compact indicating the shade or its net weight. I expected it to have a label but nonetheless, all details, the ingredients and the weight, can be found on the back of the box instead.
The formula feels so soft, smooth, and finely-milled on the pan. It doesn’t feel chalky or powdery and there’s no fallout! It blends so well and builds up easily on the skin. Pigmentation is pretty awesome too, being medium at best. It manages to stay on me for at least 6 hours, eventually fading after. Separately, the two shades are both wearable for me. Nothing’s too light or too dark but my favorite way to wear it is to mix the 2 together.
One of the reasons why I bought this is the combination of the two shades creates a beautiful rose gold highlight, although her being a Filipina did play a minor role in my interest and purchase. Before this, I have never owned anything from E.L.F. Cosmetics so I don’t know what to expect. I know some of their items are cheap dupes for another brand and I wanted to get a couple of them before. I just didn’t get around to doing it, my bad.
To cap this review off, I’m so happy I was able to get her highlighter because it always sells out quickly. And I’m quite proud that a Filipino like Heart has created something so beautiful. I do wish E.L.F. will make it permanent. Anyway, it’s only $8 at E.L.F. Cosmetics and it’s still available there at this moment. Just to inform you guys, it is sold out at ULTA.
So, who else is loving this highlighter?
