Hi guys! Sorry for being absent the past few days. I wasn’t feeling too well and I needed to conserve my energy so I can attend my friend’s weeding last Saturday. I’m much better now though so I’m bringing up this review.
I was walking towards the Dior booth one day, with every intention of getting another Lip Glow. This happened last year by the way so no, I didn’t break my low buy plan. Anyway, I was going to get original Pink but it was out of stock so the SA offered to show me the other shade available, Coral.
FOR GLOWING LIPS
The must-have universal balm from Dior BackstagE. Inspired by the expert techniques of the Dior Backstage, Lip Glow is the first color reviver balm by Dior combining the comfort of a balm with a natural flush of custom color.
Original Glow, The iconic finish:
Born backstage and loved by Dior make-up artists for its custom rosy tint effect and subtle shine.
Its secret lies in the perfect balance between make-up and lip care, thanks to the famous ‘Color Reviver’ technology which reacts to the unique chemistry of each person’s lips to give them a natural flush of custom color that suits each skin tone. Lips look fresh, full and radiant, as if revived from within.
The Lip Glow formula is concentrated in mango butter and provides continual hydration for 24 hours*.
The Dior Lip Glow is encased in a very feminine semi-transparent pink tube from which a silver bullet emerges. The line up currently consists of 10 shades. Coral gives my lips a warm sheen. It’s not so obvious on the lips in real life though.
I love to put it in the pocket of my clothes (most especially in my hospital coat) so I can bring it with me anywhere and apply whenever the need arises. The packaging feels and looks extremely luxurious. It has caught the eyes of my colleagues several times when I was bringing it with me to work.
FYI, this is not my first Lip Glow. This is actually my second but I never bothered to review the other one. I’ve already gone through the original Pink and ever since I finished it, I can never bear to throw it away because the tube is too pretty. I used to think this was the world’s best luxury lip balm but my preferences have changed over time.
By the way, here are the ingredients:
The sheen only lasts for about an hour on me, even faster when I eat or drink. But my lips stay moisturized for a total of 3 to 4 hours, again depending on whether food is involved. I like how it brings a natural healthy look to my lips because as you know, mine are always in a state of perpetual dryness. There’s no scent or taste to this lip balm. It doesn’t feel heavy or thick at all.
This may not have been my holy grail lip balm but Dior is one of the luxury brands that I truly enjoy so I may continue buying these for as long as I can. Also, Dior has released some new shades, 2 mattes and 3 holographics, lately. My eyes immediately zoomed in on the Matte Raspberry. That might be my next Lip Glow. Once I finish the rest of my lip balms first, of course.
Any of you guys tried these Lip Glows?
