Wet N Wild Color Icon Blush in Berry Shimmer & Apri-Cot in the Middle | Review

Wet N Wild Color Icon Blush Berry Shimmer Apri-Cot in the Middle

Hey there readers of mine! Today I’ve got another beauty review from the brand Wet N Wild. It seems like I’ve been slowly discovering their best products. Long-time readers of mine know I am absolutely in love with their highlighters. I mean, who doesn’t? They’ve got some of the most wonderful highlighter formulas out there. Today, I’m going to talk about some of their Color Icon blushes.

A BLUSHING ICON

You’re blushing! This silky-smooth powder strikes the perfect balance between a blendable transparent sheen and a radiant pop of maximum color. Lightweight, long-lasting, and certain to impress.

I have two shades on hand bought from two separate occasions. One with an old formula and one with the new. The old one is Berry Shimmer, which is a warm-toned medium rose and the one with the new formula is Apri-Cot in the Middle which is a peachy orange. Both have very fine gold micro-shimmers that are only apparent up close. They come in rectangular plastic cases with a scratchy brush that I will never use of course. The new-formula blushes have only 5 available shades. Berry Shimmer has been removed — bummer. I am loving how that shade looks on my skin.

These powders are so soft and silky to touch. They are not chalky, or patchy but because of the soft texture, they are very powdery. They pack quite the pigment, more so with Berry Shimmer and as you can see from my swatch below, you won’t need much of the powder for it to show on the skin. It’ so easy to over apply these blushes because of the intense pigmentation so you should go with a light hand first and gradually build up the color to your preference. On the average, they last at least 7 hours on me before fading.

I can’t find any difference between these two other than the new blush has more product with 0.20 oz/ 5.85 g while the old compact only had 0.14 oz/ 4.0 g. In terms of blendability, texture and pigmentation, they’re mostly at par with each other. I just wish they’d bring Berry Shimmer back into the fold again. So as far as drugstore blushes go, these deserve my TWO THUMBS UP. These are priced at $2.99 from Wet N Wild and Php 200+ here in the Philippines from various online sellers.

What’s your favorite shade from the Color Icon Blush range? What are your thoughts about it? Tell me down below guys!
