Some people may not be able to leave the house without putting on a lipstick or mascara. I, on the other hand, dread to think about going out without making sure my brows look neat and orderly. That includes, at least filling in the gaps with a brow pencil and using a spoolie to comb the stubborn hairs in place. My favorite has always been the Shu Hard Formula Brow Pencil. So in my quest to find a suitable replacement for it, I’ve tested something from K-Palette.
Get your brow game on with this 1DAY Tattoo Lasting 3Way Eyebrow Pencil from K-Palette. Beauty experts swear by this nifty product. It features a soft and creamy pencil formula in a twist design. It comes with a matching powder on the other end in a sponge tip to soften up your look, and a spoolie for a perfectly groomed finish.
– Soft and creamy
– Twist pencil design
– Sponge powder on the other end
– Spoolie brush
– Lasts the whole day
The 1 Day Tattoo Lasting 3-Way Eyebrow Pencil comes in 4 shades. The one I have is Grayish Brown. By the way, all the shades have the word “Brown” in them. That’s just how the Japanese roll. And I truly appreciate that. The brown tones in them make them look more natural and I think even the shade Grayish Brown can work so well on raven haired people.
It’s got everything you would need in it to make a perfect brow. There’s a pencil on one end, a spoolie on the other, and in the middle, you can twist the half off to reveal the brow powder that can be applied with a sponge tip. In my honest opinion, the best part about this product is the brow powder. It matches the brow pencil but it doesn’t look too intense. Aside from softening up the brows to help with the natural look, it also acts like a filler — at least to me it does — and it helps to evenly distribute the color on the brow hairs and the skin in the area.
Now onto the pencil. It’s soft, creamy and thin enough to mimic and draw brow hairs, but it also tends to catch on the hairs if I’m too much in a rush so I forget to use it with a light hand. It’s not as firm as the ABH Brow Pencil which I would have preferred. Is it sweat-proof, water-proof, sebum-proof like it claims to be? Well, not exactly. I do think it can last the whole day but when it gets more humid around here or hotter, I notice that the powder seems to fade over the course of the day. The brow pencil seems to hold up just fine though. Another thing that caught my attention was how short the brow pencil is. Just how long will this last if I use it everyday?
So to cap off this review, there are some pros and some cons regarding this product. One con I’d like to be remedied would be the short brow pencil. Do I like it as a whole? Yes I do, more so because of the brow powder. Will I repurchase it after I’d gone through the whole thing? Probably not. But if K-Palette happens to produce the powder on its own, I’ll get on it right away.
