Shiseido Perfect Cleansing Oil | Review

Shiseido Perfect Cleansing Oil

If you guys are following me on my IG account, you’d know how I am soo into double cleansing. I really believe it’s because of the dual action of a cleansing oil/balm plus a cleansing foam that keeps my skin free from any leftover makeup or dirt before I tuck in at night. Anyway, today I’ll be tackling the Shiseido Perfect Cleansing Oil. Finally!

A PERFECT WAY TO REMOVE DIRT AND MAKEUP

Shiseido Perfect Cleansing Oil3

A comfortable, lightweight cleansing oil with Shiseido original Gentle Quick-Removing Technology that can be used on wet or dry skin. Rapidly reaches deep down into the pores to thoroughly remove dirt and makeup. Quickly lifts base makeup and waterproof eye makeup. Rinses off quickly, leaving a non-greasy, dewy finish.

Skin Type: All, Dermatologist-Tested. Ophthamologist-Tested.

The Perfect Cleansing Oil apparently comes in 2 sizes — an 180 ml and a 300 ml (says so on the website. I’ve only ever seen the 180 ml here in the Philippines on display in Shiseido. It comes in a semi-transparent, white plastic bottle with a pump and a simple locking mechanism.

What I like most about it is its relaxing, light floral scent. I think it’s lavender but I could be wrong. I have never come across any other review of it that identifies its smell. The important part about it is it doesn’t come off as too pungent. I think sensitive noses will come to like it too.

The oil is clear with a consistency that’s a bit thin and watery. I get about 2 pumps of it to massage away a day’s worth of makeup and accumulated dirt on my entire face. It doesn’t emulsify as much as say the DHC Cleansing Oil or the Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil but it does remove the heavy, waterproof junk I’ve put on my skin. It leaves my face soft and very smooth afterwards. I’ve also never had a bad reaction to it, just saying.

The 180 ml bottle of Shiseido Perfect Cleansing Oil retails for $32 while the 300 ml costs $45. In the Philippines, the 180 ml is at Php 1,998. Given the price of a bottle, I’m hesitant to purchase another one after I finish this off. Maybe I’d reconsider if Shiseido will have another promo wherein I can exchange any empty skincare product for gift certificates. It’s why I was able to purchase this in the first place, LOL!

Who else is into double cleansing like me?
