FANCL Mild Cleansing Oil | Review

FANCL Mild Cleansing Oil2

This year has been my year of skincare and up until recently I never realized just how life-changing a cleansing oil is. Today, I’m going to review a cleansing oil from another popular Japanese brand.

A FANC-Y OIL

FANCL Mild Cleansing Oil

Formulated with the finest balance of carefully-selected oil and cleansing ingredients that won’t leave any residue.

The unique Smooth Cushion Oil glides effortlessly to wrap and remove any makeup and dirt without stripping natural oil from your skin. Leaves skin feeling soft and moisturized.

The FANCL Mild Cleansing Oil comes in a very simple, light blue plastic bottle with a pump containing 120 ml of odorless, slightly murky, cleansing oil. I dispense about 2 pumps of the product onto my hands before I massage it on my face.

I find it thicker than the DHC Cleansing Oil but easier to massage on the skin, making it better in taking off heavy and waterproof makeup. The thicker consistency feels better because with the DHC, I still need to add more oil. It feels (to me, at least) that with a thinner oil, there will be areas that it won’t get into or some makeup wouldn’t be effectively removed (does that make sense to you?). Then, I dampen my hands and emulsify the product. Some gets into my eyes and they kind of sting. It becomes into this whitish, thin, watery fluid that’s easy to remove with water. After, my skin never feels dry or stripped with moisture. Waterproof makeup gets mostly removed, even better with just micellar water, and I only need to follow this step with a cleansing foam to thoroughly rid my skin of dirt and leftover makeup.

In my own opinion, I believe this is one of the good cleansing oils in the Japanese market. I’ve yet to claim it as a HG product since I haven’t tried a lot. My only issue it the size, given that the bottle will only last me for a few months. According to the FANCL website, the 120-ml bottle has approximately 60 uses. Uh, okay then. I do wish it comes in a larger size because I may have to hoard this when I return to Japan (if I do go back!).

Has anyone else tried this cleansing oil? How do you like it? Also, are there other Japanese cleansing oils you know aside from this and DHC?

XOXO
