I don’t use a primer everyday. I’d love to though because my oily skin and pores need a lot of help. But I also have to deal with having a sensitive skin and majority of oil-controlling and pore-filling primers out there disagree with my skin type. But when I do use a primer, I prefer to use ones that cater to all skin types like this one from Pixi.
PRIMED FOR A PIXI
Even, flawless skin tone is the sign of youthful healthy skin. Sometimes we need a little help with the glow from within. This primer is the perfect solution; the formula is loaded with skin loving ingredients. Formula contains powerful anti-aging and skin fortifying benefits. Formula suitable for all skin types.
The Flawless Beauty Primer comes in a squeeze-type, rose gold, plastic tube with a green cap containing 30 ml of product. I’ve seen reviews of this product before when it was still in a frosted glass bottle and let me tell you, I think I like that one better in terms of aesthetic quality but if we’re talking about being travel friendly, then yes, a tube would ideally be more suitable.
The primer has a nudey-pink color to it that adds a bit of glow to the complexion as soon as its applied. That glow is actually due to the fine, gold micro shimmers which really aren’t as obvious from afar as it is up close. It dries down to a satin finish without feeling tacky. It also has a scent I can mildly relate to a sunscreen but it’s barely there so no need to worry. True it doesn’t have any mattifying properties but it might as well have some bit of oil control to it because I don’t get shiny all too soon when I have it on. But it didn’t make my pores disappear nor did it completely even out my skin tone. I mostly use it when I need to make my makeup last longer throughout the day.
I think this primer would work best for normal to dry, mature skin especially those who is looking for a makeup base that can brighten dull skin and prolong makeup wear. As for oily skin types, I’m not sure this is the best for us guys despite the claim that it’s for all skin types. But it’s also not the worst out there so I’m not going to discourage you all from getting it for yourselves.
It retails here in the Philippines for Php 1,360 in Common Thread stores, Glamourbox, Landamrk Department Stores and leading SM Beauty Department Stores.
Who else has tried this primer from Pixi by Petra? What did you guys think of it?
