NARS Bord de Plage Highlighting and Bronzing Palette | Review

NARS Bord de Plage Palette

Another NARS product I was so excited to have is their Bord de Plage palette. I wasn’t able to get their previous highlighting palette so I resolved to get this one no matter what. Last I heard, it’s going to be released here in the Philippines as well but I’m not sure when that will be.

BORD DE PLAGE

Higher light. Deeper glow. Water-activated highlighters meet Sun Wash Diffusing Bronzer for a smoldering summer look. Four opalescent tones work effortlessly with skin to create a universal glow, as two light-diffusing bronzers add natural-looking warmth. Together, they create a second-skin luster that amplifies and intensifies. Attract opposites with sheer dimension.

NARS Bord de Plage Palette2

The Bord de Plage palette is a limited edition product containing 4 highlighters and 2 Sun Wash bronzers. The 4 highlighters are exclusive to the palette except for one — Rivage which was also a part of their Banc de Sable palett — and the bronzers are already a part of the NARS permanent range. Rivage is described as a glistening pearl; Corniche is a soft pink shimmer; Crique is a pale gold shimmer; and Galet is described as a golden bronze shimmer. The bronzers included are Laguna (shouldn’t really be a surprise by now) and Casino. Each highlighters and bronzers weigh 0.12 oz/ 3.4 9.

I find the bronzers more sheer when compared to the full-sized Sun Wash Diffusing Bronzer (I have Casino, remember? So my basis for this observation is that shade.) but they’re also more natural looking and easier to blend. As for the highlighters? They’re amazingly beautiful. They have a wonderful texture as well, so soft and smooth to touch with near opaque pigmentation. They can be used either wet or dry but most of the time, I use them dry. They look more metallic and intense when used wet by the way so if you dig that kind of highlight, go ahead. There are barely any fallout when my brushes dip in the pans. These last a minimum of 8 hours on me with the bronzers fading faster than the highlighters.

I absolutely love this palette. Everything about it, from the 4 highlighters right down to the bronzers. But if I were to pick a favorite, it’s going to be the highlighters. Thus, I am giving it my TWO THUMBS UP! If you’re crazy about highlighting and bronzing as much as I am (I’m more crazy about highlighters now though), then you might also love this palette. I really hope I’ll see the 4 highlighters again in the future.

The palette retails for $59 and I had ordered mine thru @shopatcfb. Did anyone else get this? Share with me your thoughts? Pretty please?

XOXO
