Benefit Cosmetics Dandelion Twinkle Powder Highlighter | Review

Benefit Cosmetics Dandelion Twinkle2

Before this, I’ve only had 2 other highlighters from Benefit which I’ve never reviewed here on the blog because I got them even before I was blogging about makeup. And while I never really use highlighters during that time them as much as I do now, I have to admit that Benefit did good on them. Now though, I’ve got their newest highlighter and this time, I plan to give it a review.

Benefit Cosmetics Dandelion Twinkle

Dandelion Twinkle is described as a nude-pink powder highlighter and luminizer. It looks like a peachy pink on the pan but when swatched on my skin, it’s more of a warm-toned, light peach with fine shimmers. It comes in a similar fashion as the rest of Benefit’s Box o’ Blushes, in a cardboard box with a mirror and brush.

The powder is just so soft, smooth, finely-milled and oh-so buttery. Because of the soft texture, it’s prone to have excess powder kicked up whenever a brush is dipped. It also has a floral fragrance  (described as dandy daydream) that was barely noticeable. If you open the box and take a whiff, then yes, you’ll be able to smell it but when it’s being applied on the face, it doesn’t smell as strong. The highlighter blends nicely on the skin and delivers a lovely luminous sheen that does not emphasize pores. The shimmers are actually not visible once it has been applied. Pigmentation, however is not wholly opaque which means one can apply it sheerly or build the highlight up for more glow. Generally, it lasts around 7 hours on me.
