Happy Sunday lovelies! How’s your weekend so far. I will finally put down my thoughts about the Kyshadow Burgundy Palette since red and burgundy shades are all I think about these days.
KYLIE DOES BURGUNDY
The #KylieCosmetics Kyshadow pressed powder eye shadow palette is your secret weapon to create the perfect Kylie eye. Each Kyshadow Kit comes with 9 pressed powder eye shadows that can be used together to recreate Kylie’s favorite looks or customize your own.
The Kyshadow kit pressed powder eye shadows are talc and paraben free, have medium buildable coverage and a velvety smooth texture.
The Burgundy Palette is the second eyeshadow palette from Kylie Cosmetics. The brand has released 5 so far, including 2 limited editions. This palette contains 9 eyeshadows from mattes to metallics with a combination of neutral and red-toned shades. I had been waiting for Kylie to make a burgundy-themed palette back when I bought the Bronze Palette and thought the world of it. And with this, she just nailed the colors!
The matte shades aren’t patchy at all and the metallics are equally beautiful. They are soft, creamy and very easy to blend on the lids. The pigmentation is just as awesome. The formula and texture is basically similar to the other Kyshadow palettes except for a few minor points. Dubai was a little tough to swatch in comparison to the other shades (not what I would expect from a metallic shade) but it still blends like a dream. Wear time is around 8 hours or so after which, creasing and fading is inevitable.
As you can see from the 3rd photo above, something happened to the middle eyeshadow. I received it in the mail in perfect condition but a few days later as I was going to take more photos of the whole palette, the pan had a bump, like there was some pressure underneath it that was pushing it upwards. Of course, I pushed it back down, hence, the visible cracks. I’ve been meaning to re-press it back properly with some alcohol but as of this moment I haven’t done that yet.
Anyway, quality-wise, these eyeshadows are better than most which makes Kylie Cosmetics, in my opinion, one hell of a brand. They’re consistency is what keeps me from coming back for more. This retails for $42 at Kylie Cosmetics. I ordered this thru @makeupdepot.
Who else has the Burgundy Palette? What are your thoughts about it?
