Best Highlighters of My 2016

Highlighters of 2016

Clockwise from left side: LM Matte Radiance Baked Powder (Highlight-01) | MAC Mineralize Skinfinish (Lightscapade) | Essence Pure Nude Highlighter | Jeffree Star Skin Frost (Peach Goddess) | ColourPop Super Shock Cheek (Lunch Money & Smokin’ Whistles)

I have been one crazy highlighter lady this year. I can’t believe I have accumulated a lot. I think it started late last year with Jaclyn Hill’s Champagne Pop. Anyway, let’s get down to my favorite highlighters I got this year!

Essence Pure Nude Highlighter. I was so glad I managed to snag myself this drugstore gem before the year ends. The hype is real you guys. And I’m kind of wondering if there are other drugstore products out there that are just as amazing. Share them with me down below in the comments. Even if they’re not highlighters!

ColourPop Super Shock Cheek highlighters were a total hit with me. If I only have the funds, I’d get every one of them but sadly, that would take a long while. ColourPop just keeps on adding and adding more shades!

The Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder (Highlight-01) is a crowd favorite. i haven’t come across a negative review of it and I still keep on getting compliments whenever I use it.

The MAC Mineralize Skinfinish (Lightscapade) was a very welcome surprise. It was a gift from @kimchiandsnails, my very lovable Korean-skincare-obsessed friend. It never really entered my radar and I probably would’ve ignored it up until now if someone hadn’t given it to me.

I wanted to collect most of the shades of Jeffree Star’s Skin Frosts as soon as I can when it was released and I’m so happy Peach Goddess is one of the shades I chose to order because it is simply the bomb! I also got Ice Cold but I simply love the the peach shade. The size of the compact alone cements my approval.

LE Highlighters of 2016

If you’ve noticed, these are all permanent products. Limited editions are tough to include in the list since well, most of them are probably sold out by now. But for blogging’s sake, I’ll put them in here too: Dior Diorskin Nude Air Illuminating Powder (Glowing Pink) (btw, I also want the Nude Air Luminizer Powder, I swatched it before but did not get it in lieu of the Diorific highlighter), Burberry Runway Palette (White No.1)Anastasia Beverly Hills Sweets Glow Kit (Sassy Grape is so gorgeous! Still available at ABH.) and MAC Cosmetics Nutcracker Sweet Copper Face Compact. You can click on the links to read more about them.

I still have more to go through because I’ve got a couple of untouched and unboxed highlighters in my stash. I promise I will use them and give you, my readers my thoughts. By the way, tell me all your most loved highlighters so I know what makes you glow. Also, so I know what else I should get for myself!
