Essence Pure Nude Highlighter

You won’t believe how long I’ve searched for this drugstore highlighter. I’ve been to 2 major SM Department stores and stalked Shopee and Instagram for almost 2 months before coming across the online store of @christineandcamille on Instagram. Thank the heavens!

Reflection of light! the spotlight is on the highlighter in the popular NUDE family. the soft, baked powder texture with a slightly marbled effect brings a subtle shimmer to the face. ideal for a healthy look with a glow!

The Review:

Essence Pure Nude Highlighter3

Be My Highlight doesn’t really have a color description on the Essence website. To my eyes, it’s a light champagne withsome warm and peachy undertones with no glitter or any shimmer whatsoever. The baked, dome-shaped pan comes in a simple round plastic compact and clear cover.

Looking at the pan, it seems entirely unremarkable. And I agree with Kathleenlights when she said it looked more like a setting powder. Until you get around to swatching it that is, because…. DAMN. This is what holy grail stuff is made of ladies and gents.

The highlighter is so soft and finely-milled with no fallout. That’s right, there’s no fallout. There’s also no fear of hitting pan on this one because it’s neither expensive nor is it limited edition. (I just love the moment when you find a holy grail product and you can have it forever and you don’t have to hoard them one time.) Aside from that, this highlighter has got to have one of the most crazy-opaque pigmentation I’ve come across. The wear time too was astounding, lasting longer than 8 hours.

I swear, all of you highlighter addicts should get this. Considering it passed all the important highlighter aspects, the price, performance and all that jazz wih flying colors, I definitely give this a TWO THUMBS UP!
