One of my problems has always been my undereye area. It’s discolored and just plain not photogenic. It frustrates me whenever I see those particular problem areas on every photo I’m in. And lately, I’ve been searching for different products to help with me lessen those dark circles.

The Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream Eyes Broad Spectrum SPF 15 is available in 8 shades. I bought the shade Fair, which is described as a porcelain ivory and is the lightest shade among the range. It comes in a clickable pen-type of packaging with a brush as its applicator. It took me more than 15 turns before enough BB cream was more than visible on the tip. And by that time, I kind of wasted a lot of the product because it just kept on coming. So a word of caution, be mindful of how many clicks you make when you use this the first time. After that, 2 or 3 more clicks is sufficient to push the concealer up the tip.
The concept of this product combines the benefits of an undereye concealer and an eye cream, hence, an undereye BB cream. The coverage is medium and was quite builable. It was easy enough to blend with a brush however, I prefer to use a sponge to blend it flawlessly. Fingers can also be used but it takes me longer. It helped reduce the redness on the dark circles of my eyes and brightem them up to a degree that it didn’t look like I had little sleep. No visible signs of creasing, cakeyness or even streaking was notable after 10 hours of wear.
It’s definitely more than okay in terms of coverage and lasting power. However, I’m not inclined to repurchase this because of the price when there are others out there that can do the same job just as well. But who knows I might change my mind someday. I could use more brightening in my undereye area in the future.
It retails for $25 in the US and Php 1,400 in Beauty Bar stores nationwide.
