Happy Skin Cosmetics Contour & Colour Palette | Review

Happy Skin Glam Squad Contour & Color Palette

Here’s my take on one of the limited edition palettes that local brand Happy Skin Cosmetics came up with in collaboration with 4 of the country’s leading makeup artists.

 CONTOUR AND COLOUR

The Happy Skin Glam Squad Contour & Color is a marriage of two professional must-haves that chisel and color the face: an easy-to-blend taupe contour and a warm rosy-coral blush with a satin finish. Both long-lasting yet pigmented, it gives you the perfect celebrity-like sculpted face and fresh glow to bring out your features.

The Contour & Colour Palette comes in a rose-gold plastic compact that feels light yet sturdy. It’s also slim enough to fit inside a pouch without being too bulky. The round pans seem quite small though in relation to the size of the whole compact. The contour shade weighs 3.5g while the powder blush has only 3g of product. The palette offers two easy-to-use powders, the contour shade which is a neutral taupe and the blush which is a warm-toned coral.

They both blend relatively well on the skin and have soft powders with a matte finish, unlike the “satin finish” that the brand promises. Both have a medium to buildable pigmentation. Both powders also kick off a bit of excess product, the blush more so than the contour as far as I’ve noticed. But they’re not by any means powdery or patchy on the skin. They last for an average of 5 to 6 hours on me before I am unable to detect any traces of it.

Overall, I like the idea of the palette. It’s a nice find for anyone who is just starting to discover contouring. However I would be more interested in a palette that will also have a highlighting shade in it.( Sue me, I’m completely a highlighter addict.) Or maybe just a palette with a highlighter and a blush thrown in a combination. By the way, I really hope that Happy Skin will develop one.

Anwyay, this contour-blush duo retails for Php 1,399 and is locally available where Happy Skin Cosmetics are found. That means in Beauty Bar stores, some Rustan’s Department Stores, Plains & Prints, or for a complete list, you can check them out here.

For all my Filipino readers out there, have you tried this palette yet? Any thoughts?
