What will you say if one day someone makes a beautiful lipstick shade in your name? For your birthday?
Amazed? Oh, hell yes. Flattered? Absolutely!
THE NO.1 LIPSTICK FOR AN AGELESS BEAUTY
More than just a lipstick, Sophia Loren N°1 is a loving tribute from Dolce&Gabbana to Sophia and all women. The colour makes it truly unique: a bright cherry red created by the Designers with Sophia Loren to enhance the deep pigmentation of her lips. It’s her red, it’s her signature.
Created for the woman seeking rich, glossy lips in a unique shade.
– Ultra-light, semi-sheer lipstick
– Bright cherry red created by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana with Sophia Loren
– Skin conditioning ingredients add moisture and a rich, glossy shine
– Delicately scented with Dolce&Gabbana’s signature powdery rose fragrance
– Engraved in black with Sophia Loren’s signature
Sophia Loren’s signature red is supposedly a bright cherry red. Created in celebration of her 81st birthday as a thank you for being an inspiration and an iconic beauty, the limited edition lipstick comes in a golden tube to match the muse’s elegance and it also comes with her signature embossed outside the lipstick tube. It looks like a medium raspberry in the ad if you’ve seen the video. Or a light dusky pink in real life, for me at least.
It’s an everyday, wearable color, that I believe will look good on most complexions and will appeal to all ages. It feels light and very hydrating every time I wear it. The formula has a creamy texture making application breezy with just a one go and it has a sheer, glossy finish to it. Its sheerness was the only thing I was disappointed about. A color this beautiful should have a more satin finish. That will make it last longer than its usual wear time of around 3 to 4 hours.
It did settle a bit on the driest patches on my lips a few times, not everyday mind you, but that can be remedied easily with proper lip preparation. A lipstick this creamy should be bleeding or feathering but surprisingly, it didn’t do any of those. So aside from the sheer pigmentation and some episodes of patchiness, it seems like a well-rounded, wearable lipstick.
So, once again, your very own lipstick shade for a birthday gift? It doesn’t sound that bad at all.
