Viseart Eyeshadow Palette Neutral Basic | 01 Matte

Viseart Neutral Matte Palette

Everybody, a moment please. I think I just found the best matte, neutral eyeshadow palette. Yes, I think the search is over. It’s totally amazing. I can’t believe something like this does not get as much rave as the other popular brands who have launched neutral palettes.

For so long, I had put up with matte eyeshadows from several palettes I own. Some are actually decent performers but the others were in need of a helping hand, a.k.a an eyeshadow primer. Then I came across Viseart Eyeshadow Palette in Neutral Basic.

You may not have heard of the brand but they are worth the look. Make up artists from around the globe have them in their kit. Who was I to think twice?

Viseart Eyeshadow Palettes come in a simple plastic packaging — black pan with a clear, see-through cover. But don’t be deceived. As the popular saying goes, “Don’t judge the book by its cover.” Err, or in this case, don’t judge the palette by its plastic packaging. You’d be blown away by the quality of the shadows. I was.

You know how it’s common sense when putting on makeup to actually do your eyes first followed by your face so any kind of eyeshadow fallout can get covered easily or else you risk ruining your foundation by mutliple specks of color and glitter — the horror of chalky eyeshadows, gasp! But not this baby. Let’s just say I’m a curious little kitten and like all other palettes I’ve experimented on, this one has to go through — ahem, careful evaluation. So what I actually did was, I put on my foundation and concealer first then my eye makeup.

All I can say is, “Fallout, what fallout?” It’s the beauty of this product. THERE WERE NONE. I did not have to reapply concealer under my eyes. Like I said, totally amazing. Hands down. Even when I was swatching them on my arm, I did not experience any fallout. And they are all crazy pigmented and easy to blend. All the shades are so soft and buttery. I wore them the first couple of times without any primer. They were still there after more than 10 hours of wear. No creasing and only minimal fading. It’s like Viseart kept in mind, when they were creating this, what an excellent, matte eyeshadow palette should be like. And they nailed it!

Contouring, highlighting my browbone and filling in my brows, it seems this palette can do those too. The two shades on the lower right look most natural as a contouring powder. Both have neutral and ashy tones to them to mimic a hollow created by cheekbones.

  1. I love how you started this post and I love seeing products I’m not very familiar with on my feed. This looks like my type of palette oh my goodness.

  2. Viseart!! They have the reputation of being “THE” makeup artists’ top choice so being a relative newbie to makeup, I always hesitated buying pro’s choices (for fear of not giving the products justice! LOL). So Kryolan and the bunch – I was very hesitant to even try.

Thanks to your post – I’ve kind of toned down on that thinking. Wont be as stiff anymore when it comes to pro makeup brands 😉 Anyway, this palette looks very versatile – actually it looks like a MUA’s choice for bridal looks as it has a lot of beautiful neutrals in it. Really wish I could see your looks you doooo, Nikki!GOOOOOW NA! hihi

  3. Wow, it looks great! I don’t have many matte shades just because I LOVE shimmer but the shades are perfect for everyday! It reminds me of the Sonia Kashuk matte neutrals palette!
